ELO Now Live: What You Need to Know About France’s New Import Process

France is introducing a new system for cross-border freight: ELO (Obligatory Logistics Envelope). Effective April 28, 2025, it has been deployed on the Dover–Calais route, with a four-month transition period ending August 31, 2025. After that, ELO becomes mandatory.

Unlike the SI Brexit system, ELO does not replace existing systems but offers a dedicated interface for operators. At Eurogate Connect, we’re prepared.

Our online ELO service is available 24/7 and doesn’t require a customs broker. You can submit everything digitally—quick, compliant, and in your preferred language thanks to our multilingual support team.

We recommend all hauliers crossing between the UK and France begin adopting ELO now to ensure a smooth transition.
